We had looked at other developments in the Coeur d’Alene area, but they didn’t seem to represent the Northwest that we had come to love. The day we drove into Gotham Bay Estates, it was obvious that this was going to be a totally different experience. Here was a place where not only was there great attention paid to lot development, there was such an obvious respect for the land and its wildlife. As we talked with Doug & Liz Anderson, it became clear how much time and effort they had put into coming up with the concept for Gotham Bay Estates and the careful planning and execution that went into making it a reality. When we pulled out onto what would become our lot, we knew in a heartbeat that we had truly found…land to build a dream on.

In the beginning we had no plans of moving to Idaho.   We had visited Spokane for a Log Home Show and to look at property there.  However not finding what we were looking for we took a Sunday drive to Coeur d’Alene and fell in love with the area.  After visiting again we came upon Gotham Bay Estates.   The lot we purchased exemplifies all the beauty that has drawn us to Northern Idaho and was further reinforced by finding this quote: “ If Mother Nature had a second home it would be in Northern Idaho“.  We hope to start building our home in 2009.   Looking forward to meeting our new neighbors and making new friends.

We are really happy that we bought our lot in Gotham Bay Estates.   We loved the environment, the great lake view, and the proximity to the resort city of Coeur d' Alene.   Most importantly, we will be near our son's family and our grandchild.

My husband and I spent approximately a year narrowing down our options for our future retirement home. We were searching for an awesome view of the lake and a feeling of privacy in a somewhat remote setting. When we first saw the lots at Gotham Bay Estates we both agreed it was all we wanted and more. We were pleased with the existing infrastructure compared to some of the more remote pieces of land we had considered as well as the sense of community. We are excited about the close proximity to the Lake as well as the National Forest both being only steps away. As we both enjoy the outdoors as well as the comforts and the activities the nearby city of Coeur D Alene has to offer we are so excited and feel it will be a fantastic place to enjoy our active retirement years.
